Gary Lee Wiltse was born on September 19, 1933, in Lincoln, Nebraska, and passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, in Evans, Georgia. He lived a full and meaningful life, marked by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family.
He was a graduate from Colorado State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture, a foundation that supported his career of owning and operating a ranch in Montana. Outside of his work, Gary enjoyed woodworking and beekeeping, interests that came along with being a rancher.
Gary also served in the United States Army. He was a devoted husband and father, and those who knew him remember his kindness and character. He treasured the 63 years he shared with his beloved wife, Chloryce Wiltse, who preceded him in death, along with his parents, Earl and Erma Wiltse.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Steve) Bishop; his son, Mark (Adah) Wiltse; his brother Dr. William Wiltse and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy.
The family asks that all flowers are sent to the Brandon Wilde Retirement Community, 4275 Owens Rd, Evans, GA 30809.
A memorial service will be held at Brandon Wilde on December 16th for his Georgia family and friends. A service is being planned for early summer 2026 in Montana.
