Ferdinand “Fred” R. Muller was born in Jakarta, Indonesia on June 21, 1951. He passed away peacefully in his home in Grovetown, GA on May 8, 2022 at the age 70.
Fred began working for Southern Bell after his graduation from Miami Central High School in 1971. Soonafter, Fred moved to Augusta, where he joined the Wrightsboro Road Bellsouth Yard. He performed many phone man functions, including Installer, Lineman, Facilities Technician, and Supervisor for over thirty-five years, fully retiring from AT&T in 2019.
During his work tenure, he volunteered his time as the photographer for the Telephone Pioneers and was an active member of the Local CWA Hall (Communications Workers of America).
Fred had a passion for Photography, having taken photos of most everyone he met. He was a member of the local Photographers’ Association and photographed many weddings for friends and family. He also enjoyed working in his yard and tinkering with his lawnmower collection.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte, and survived by his second wife, Sandra; his brother, Hubert; his 2 sons, Paul (Sabrina) and Garon (Ashley); his step-son, Sammy Lord (Sandy), and his grandchildren, Knox and Heather.
Pallbearers: Paul Muller, Garon Muller, Hubert Muller, Danny Newman, Shane Long, and Logan Fuller.

Visitation will be held at Platt’s funeral home on Wednesday, May 11th, between the hours of 6-8pm
Funeral services will be held at Bellevue memorial gardens chapel located at 4501 Wrightsboro Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813 on May 12th at 1pm.
