Eula Dean Chambers

Eula Dean Chambers, 82, of Martinez, Georgia, passed away on August 8, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Dean was born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina to Buel and Ruth Triplett on March 28,1943. She graduated from Northwest High School in Forsythe County, North Carolina. She married Henry E. Chambers Jr. on September 3, 1961, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Dean was the leader for the Non-Commissioned Officers Wives Club for the Sergeant’s Major Academy in Fort Bliss Texas, Winn Army Community Hospital at Fort Stewart Georgia and Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon Georgia. She received many awards and commendations for her service as the Treasurer for the Army Sergeant Major Academy. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church serving in the Choir and Awana’s as the Cubies leader for 9 years. She enjoyed helping the needs of several children and adult members in need. She Retired as a Clerk Supervisor for JC Penney’s for 8 Years.

Dean is preceded in death by Buel and Ruth Triplett.

Dean is survived by her husband and High School Sweetheart Henry E. Chambers Jr., Her Sons Cris Chambers and Delfina Matheny, Brian and Leontine Chambers Sr., and Daughter Alisha and Darrel Cruce, Her Brother Steven Triplett and Sister Kathleen Rudder, Grandchildren; Nathan Tyson, Michael and Alex Chambers, Cristina and Devin Jiminez, Tonya and Cole Davis, Brian Jr. and Gaby Chambers, Haley and Nick Collier. Great Grandchildren Nicholas, Vera and Kellen Jiminez, Ally Grace and Parker Davis, Lukas and Henry Collier. Pallbearers will be Cris Chambers, Brian Chambers Sr., Michael Chambers, Brian Chambers Jr., Nathan Tyson and Cole Davis.

The family of Eula Chambers wishes to extend our sincere thanks to MSA Hospice of Columbia, South Carolina and the 6th Floor staff and Doctors at Doctors Hospital of Augusta, Georgia for their loving care and support provided to Dean and her family.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM on Friday 15 August 2025 at Platts Funeral Home 337 North Belair Road, Evans Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday August 16, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church located at 4594 Columbia Rd. Martinez, Ga. 30907 with the Pastor Joe Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens located at 4051 Wrightsboro Rd. Grovetown, Ga. 30813. Arrangements made by Platts Funeral Home and Trinity Baptist Church.
