Eileen Dunleavy Knott died peacefully from heart complications on February 4, 2021, in Evans, Georgia. She was born in Ellsworth, Maine, and lived in Connecticut, Florida, Virginia, and Georgia. A Memorial Mass and interment will be in Ellsworth, Maine, later this spring.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank J. and Mary H. Dunleavy, her husband Richard D. Knott, and her sister Margaret Dunleavy.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Gagnon (Michael Gagnon), Ellen Kazimer (Robert Kazimer), Theresa Sheehan (Mark Sheehan); brother John F. Dunleavy (Helen Dunleavy) and sister Maureen D. Hodgkins; her grandchildren Eileen Gagnon, Sarah Glassman (Matt Glassman), Michael Gagnon, Katherine Kazimer, Timothy Kazimer (Nile Kazimer), Laura Sheehan, Mary Sheehan.
In addition to her family, Eileen leaves behind many dear friends at Brandon Wilde, her home for the past five years and at The Church of the Holy Comforter.
Eileen’s family is deeply appreciative of the staff at Brandon Wilde Pavilion and South East Hospice who cared for her in her final days.
