Dorothy Ruth Williams

Dorothy Ruth Williams, 81, of Martinez, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2022.
Dorothy worked in the deli at Kroger for over 25 years before retiring. She was a member of Greens Cut United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, GA. She was a huge Braves fan and absolutely loved the Harry Potter movies. Dobby was her favorite character. She loved her dog, Angel and enjoyed watching the birds at the bird feeder.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Lester Williams; daughter, Cyndi Redd; sisters, Florence (Robert) Zimmerman and Eleanor (Joseph) Hessek; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Williams; son, Danny Williams and daughter, Susan Carter.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Platt’s Funeral Home – 337 N. Bel Air Rd. Evans, GA 30809.
Visitation will be 1-2:30pm with a service, officiated by Pastor Jerry Sharpe of Greens Cut UMC, to follow.
