Ms. Moran was born in Tignall, Georgia on January 22nd, 1945. At a young age, she moved to Augusta, Georgia making it her home. She graduated from Wilkes County High School and practice phlebotomy for many years at University Hospital before starting her own local business.
Dorothy began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses in the 1970’s. After gaining an accurate knowledge of Bible truths she decided to dedicate her life to Jehovah God and symbolized it on April 1, 1974 by way of baptism. Her faith was important to her, and because of this she spent many hours helping others come to an accurate knowledge of the Bible. In September of 2008 she fulfilled her lifelong dream of full-time service to Jehovah by becoming a regular Pioneer. She attended the Evans congregation, and she is dearly loved by friends from all over the Augusta area.
She had a variety of hobbies, including her passion for dancing, singing, cooking, and traveling, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Bryant Booker (Valerie), Adrian Broadway, Tracy Kicklighter (Bruce) and Erica Moran (Kahmall); her twin brother, Duvall Smith (Kim) and her sister, Clara Julia Taylor; her grandchildren, Aaron Moran, Drake Broadway, Ryan Rampulla, Taylor Broadway, Tyler Broadway, Justin Rampulla, and Autumn Booker, as well as three great grandchildren, Brooklyn Broadway, Penelope Moran, and Bailey Broadway.
