Dorothy Kendrick Connell

Augusta, GA---Ms. Dorothy Kendrick Connell, 92, entered into rest on Sunday, February 1, 2009.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:15 pm on Thursday, February 5, 2009, at Church of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Michael Lubinsky celebrant and Father Tom Peyton concelebrating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Ms. Connell was a native of Bel Air, GA. She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Dr. Robert Coggins, in Marietta, GA, for many years. She was a member of Church of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Ms. Connell was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lyn Kendrick, parents, Sullivan and Catherine Stafford Usry, sisters, Marion “Boots” Oetjen, Virginia “Snookie” Anthony and brother, Van Usry.

Survivors include; four nieces, Frances Harris, Becky Carson, Catherine Eubanks and Adele Brown, three nephews, Joe Oetjen, Robert Anthony and Gary Anthony, numerous great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and special friend, Sue Varner.

The vigil for the deceased will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel. The family will receive friends, following the service, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Robert Anthony, Gary Anthony, Joe Oetjen, Adam Oetjen, Chris Bowers and Jeffery Anthony.
