Doris Mildred Ward

Doris Mildred Ward, 97, was born on May 2, 1920 and passed away on March 4, 2017. She began serving in the Army in 1941 and when the Air Force was established continued service until retirement in 1963. She served during World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War. Doris retired as a SSGT/E5. She was a lifelong resident of Clarks Hill, SC and Augusta, GA. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

She is survived by 6 loving Generations - her niece, Marjory B Little of Augusta, Several great-nieces, several great-great nieces & nephews, several great-great-great nieces and nephew and one great-great-great-great niece.

Doris loved fishing, beer, her chocolate, and dogs. She had a quick sense of humor and was loved by all her family members.
