Donna Riner Weber, resident of Port Orange, Florida, departed her earthly residence for her Heavenly home on April 15, 2025, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Swainsboro, Georgia on March 2, 1953. She is survived by her loving husband and Christian partner, Brian Weber, formerly of Reserve, Louisiana. They shared a wonderful God-centered marriage for 30 years.
Donna was the daughter of the late John Frank Riner and Annie Coleman Riner of Grovetown, Georgia. Donna was the mother of Samuel Stump (Amber) of Clewiston, Florida as well as Grandmother to Savannah Stump of Lincolnton, Georgia, and Sterling Stump of Clewiston. Donna leaves behind her sister and best friend, Connie Riner Williams (Allen) of Dearing, Georgia, and niece Leslie White (Brent) of Cumming, Georgia.
Additionally, Donna was stepmother to Loretta Weber (deceased), of Garyville, Louisiana; Bart Weber of LaPlace, Louisiana; Robert Weber of Stuart, Florida; and Kristin Cook (Brian) of Hernando, Mississippi. Donna’s brothers-in-law include the late David Weber (Jeanne); the late Phillip Weber (Kathleen); Melvin Weber (Irene) of Reserve, Louisiana; and Harvey Weber (Tricia) of St. Amant, Louisiana Her step grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Josh, Brady and Sebastian, also survive her.
A devoted Christian, Donna was a true Prayer Worrier in each church and community where she resided. Donna and her husband Brian placed Jesus first in all things in their lives. She had been an active member of Grove Baptist in Grovetown, Georgia; Warren Baptist Church in Augusta, GA; Woodlawn Baptist Church in Grovetown, GA; Lakeside Baptist in Belvedere, SC; Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC; Salem Baptist in Powell, TN; Providence Church in Ormond Beach, FL; and City Light Church in Port Orange, FL. She also wants to acknowledge Pastors Josh Peoples, Timothy Mann, Frank Page, Tony Christie, and C.T. Townsend, as well as the late Evangelist Michael Guido for their Christian leadership and guidance.
Upon gaining her master’s degree in education at Augusta University, Donna pursued a career as a middle school teacher in Columbia County, GA. For 20 years, she loved working with and teaching her pupils and was a favorite teacher of most of her students.
Donna was an avid reader as well as a writer of many Christian-based true stories, one of which was published. She loved to travel, going on a dozen cruises, and having visited Hawaii on five occasions. Although she battled numerous medical problems over the years, Donna remained strong and determined knowing that God was always near and always in charge!
Visitation will take place at Platt’s Funeral Home, Evans, GA, on Tuesday, April 22, from 10:00 until Noon. Services will immediately follow at Platt’s. Interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grovetown, GA.
