Dianne W. Menger

Dianne Menger, 77, of Augusta Georgia, Entered into eternity January 21, 2026.

Dianne was born in Augusta to Roy and Mary Williams on June 10, 1948. She was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and held degrees from Georgia College and the University of Georgia.

She spent her entire career as a physical education teacher in the Richmond County school system.

Dianne enjoyed traveling, entertaining and celebrating life events with all of her family. She especially enjoyed celebrating the Christmas season. The entire family and all her friends looked forward to the Christmas Eve party that took place at Dianne’s house every year . One of Dianne’s most enduring qualities was that of a gift giver, whether it was time, food, hospitality or one of the very personal Christmas ornaments that was always signed “love Aunt Dianne”. She had a great love of shopping, wrapping and presenting gifts in a very personal way.

Dianne also enjoyed being involved in many different organizations including Junior League of Augusta. She was a faithful member of Trinity On The Hill Methodist Church in Augusta where she was heavily involved in several different ministries. One of her favorite activities was volunteering to answer the phones during the day where she was able to greet callers and direct them to the correct resource.

Dianne is preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Menger, and  her parents Roy and Mary Williams, her sister Mariellen Parker, and her brother Roy W Williams. 

Dianne is survived by her three stepchildren, Richard Menger (Julie), Michael Menger (Betty), and Ginger Acord (Barry), seven grandchildren, nephew Bobby Parker (Kathy), and many more nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Trinity On The Hill Methodist Church 1330 Monte Sano Ave, Augusta, GA 30904 or The Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January the 28th at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Trinity On The Hill Methodist Church, 1330 Monte Sano Ave, Augusta, GA 30904 with the Reverend Scott Hearn officiating.

The family would like say a special thank you to the staff and management of the Barclay House for the incredible care they gave Dianne. Knowing she was so well taken care of was such a blessing to all who loved her.
