Listen to Obituary

Dennis Arthur Johnson Dennis Arthur Johnson passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

He was born in Berlin, NH, on November 4, 1942, to Yvonne (Lamontange) and Vernon Johnson. Growing up in Berlin, he enjoyed fishing, skiing, and playing in the woods.

After graduating from Berlin High School, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving for 3 1/2 years. He later went on to earn a degree in Accounting from Bentley College, followed by a Master’s degree from Western New England College.

Dennis spent many years living in Connecticut and New Hampshire before eventually moving to Georgia. He had a deep passion for travel, and in retirement, he was fortunate to explore many countries alongside his wife, Jeanne. Nevertheless, his greatest joy in life remained his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jeanne, and their four children: Marc Johnson (Sonja), Lisa Korzenowski (Ron), Ian Johnson (Leslie), and Sarah Page (David). He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family takes comfort in knowing that Dennis is now in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 6 pm at Westside Baptist Church, 261 Flowing Wells Rd, Augusta, GA 30907.

Donations can be made to Westside Baptist Church, online or in person, or to Behold Israel Non Profit, in Dennis' memory.

The full obituary will be posted at a later date.
