Miller F. Harrison, 85 of Chesterfield, VA passed away on June 28, 2023 in Chesterfield, VA.
Miller, affectionately known by family and friends “Harry” or “MF” was born in Ellington, SC to Fred Harrison, Sr, and Beatrice Harrison on June 25, 1938. He went to school at Lucy C. Laney High School in Augusta, GA. He married Janice M. Harrison on September 11, 1971, in Brooklyn, NY.
Miller worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for New York City Housing Authority until retiring and owned three dry cleaners, a cleaning services, and a floor waxing company.
Miller was a member of the Pleasant Grove Men's Choir and the Pleasant Grove Security Force and served as security for national conventions. Miller was ordained as a deacon on July 7, 2007, and he continues to be a revered member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Tabernacle.
Miller was preceded in death by his parents: Fred Harrison, Sr and Beatrice Harrison his siblings: Sally Reynolds, James (Pookie) Harrison, Fred (Hop) Harrison, Jr., and Emma Magaline (Mag) Eubanks.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Janice M. Harrison and children: Deanna Harrison, Cynthia Harrison, Tonya Harrison-Strong, and Miller Harrison, Jr. (Daphne); his grandsons Jarrel Joye, Samuel Strong, Josiah Harrison, and Jeremiah Harrison; his cherished great-grandchildren Kodi Jones-Joye and Kassie Jones-Joy; his in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends will forever cherish his memory.
Pallbearers will be his nephews: Kerwin Harris, Fred Harrison, Jr., Frederick Harrison, Maurice Harrison, Michael Harrison, Patrick Harrison, Roderick Reynolds, Keith Reynolds and Marcus Reynolds.

Funeral services will be held at Elim Baptist Church on July 8, 2023, at 11 am Reverend Charles Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bliley’s Funeral Home, Sampson Funeral Services, Inc, and Platt’s Funeral Home.
