David William Hayes, 61, was called to Eternal Glory by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 16, 2026.
The family will have a private 'Celebration of Life' at a later date.
David was a masterful singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He used his talents to magnify the Lord. Many were blessed through his music, and by this, God was Glorified!
He was a deer hunter and a fisherman. Over the years, he spent many joyous days fishing with his cousin, Jason Sauls, whom he loved as a brother.
David placed high value on God's magnificent creation. He loved the countryside, sunset, sunrise, rain on a tin roof, warm breeze, great bodies of water, a glimpse of a fox or coyote, and all of nature. He knew these were truly among the greatest blessings in life to all mankind.
Final words: "There is healing in God's Love. This healing is found in God's constant companionship." David Hayes, May 26, 2026.
David is survived by his Dad, Robert A. Hayes; two sisters, Elizabeth Southard (Emery), and Susan Curd (Tony); three nephews, one beloved Aunt, Martha Page, (Truman, deceased); the children he loved, and many faithful cousins. He was preceded in death by his Mama, Carole Page Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s honor may be sent to: Hemophilia of Georgia at 8607 Roberts Drive Suite 150, Sandy Springs, GA 30350-2237.
Arrangements were provided by Platt's Funeral Home, 337 N. Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809 (706) 860-6166. Please take a moment to share your condolences by signing the online guestbook at plattsfuneralhome.com.
