Connie D Bailey

Connie D. Bailey, age 78, entered into rest on Friday, September 30, 2022.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William “Bill” Bailey; daughters Merrilee (David) Coley and Amanda (Ray) Bentley; sister Mary Alice (Reggie) Hill; grandchildren Katelynn C. (Tyler) Moore, Mackenzie C. (Josh) Headley, Braelin Bentley, Bria Rae Bentley, and Caroline Bailey; and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded by her parents Caver and Frances Dennis, and her son Bert Bailey.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Platt’s Funeral Home, Belair Chapel with Pastor Dave Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family wishes to thank all of the doctors, nurses, and medical staff at Crisp Regional Hospital and Columbia Community Hospice House- Agape Care.

Connie was a blessing to so many, but she especially loved little children and fur-babies. She loved her grandchildren, and they lovingly referred to her as “Nonnie.” She taught preschool at Warren Baptist for seventeen years. She then opened Connie’s Happy Tails, a pet grooming and boarding business, that she happily ran for 30 years. She and Bill loved to vacation, especially going on cruises with friends. She retired in 2019, and they enjoyed traveling in their motor home and volunteering as hosts in State and National parks.
