Clement Carl Ingram, 75, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday July 22, 2026.

Carl was born in Lancaster SC on September 8, 1950, the fourth child of six, to the late Odell Hunter and Grace Vermelle Ingram. Carl grew up in Charlotte NC. He graduated from Harding High School, obtained a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from NC State University and completed his MS degree in Business Administration at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.

Carl’s career in engineering took his family from High Point, North Carolina, through Athens, Georgia, time in California, and ultimately to South Carolina. Carl retired from Continental/General Tire after many productive years locally and also traveling to Germany for many company projects.

Among his hobbies and interests were: golf, spending time on the lake, his dogs, especially Baby Grace who was his constant companion. He also enjoyed attending Panther football games and entertaining family and friends. Carl was fun, witty, loud (at times) and had a big heart.

Carl’s faith in God grounded his life from an early age. While living in Charlotte NC, he and his family were members of Ascension Lutheran Church and after moving to York SC, members of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Rock Hill SC.

Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife Marcia Ingram, his daughter Laura Nicole Ingram, his parents and youngest brother James T. Ingram, II (Jim).

Carl deeply loved his family and is survived by his son Brian Ingram and grandson Joshua Mason Ingram of Augusta Georgia; siblings Richard Ingram (Virginia) of Boiling Springs SC, Carol Maulden of Monroe NC, Mike Ingram of Rock Hill SC, Myra Sides of Monroe NC and Luan Ingram (wife of brother Jim) of Monroe NC; numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte NC as he is laid to rest beside his wife and daughter. The family will gather at the home of Luan Ingram in Monroe NC for a private remembrance.

Arrangements were entrusted to Platt’s Funeral Home, 337 N. Blair Road, Evans GA. Please take a moment to share your condolences by signing the online guestbook at: plattsfuneralhome.com.
