Claude McKinley Harman, Jr.

Claude McKinley “Kinney” Harman Jr, 78, of Evans, passed away on October 29, 2025 at home in Evans, GA.

Kinney was born in Augusta, GA to Claude McKinley Harman Sr and Laverne Harman on February 7, 1947. He went to school at Butler High School. He married Becky Wylds on July 6, 1968 at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Hephzibah, GA.

He worked as a mechanic for Proctor and Gamble for over 25 years. He was a Vietnam War veteran and served in the Army.

Kinney is preceded in death by his father, mother and two sisters, Shirley and Patricia.

Kinney is survived by his wife: Becky Harman. Daughters: Shanon Delaughter (Al) and Penny Harman. Grandchildren: Brandon Tobias, Ashton Johnson (Brett), Lily Ana Alvarez and Garrett Delaughter. Great-grandchildren: Avery Johnson, Lakelyn Johnson and Colson Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Al Delaughter, Garrett Delaughter, Brett Johnson, Juan Carlos Chaves and Joe Augeri.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday November 3, 2025 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens 4501 Wrightsboro Road Grovetown, GA 30813. Arrangements are by Platt’s Funeral Home.
