Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roger Schwartz officiating. A private burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Clarence was known to his friends and family as “Turk,” “Mr. P,” or “Sonny”. He was born in 1938 in Cunningham, Tennessee to the late Clarence Price Sr and Ruby Irene Richardson. He began his working career with Cee Bee Store and Posey’s Market before being offered a position with the Army and Air Force Exchange service at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. That led to a 31-year career that saw him transferred to AAFES locations on military bases throughout the world. He retired as a general manager.
His hobbies included golfing and fishing, but he saved most of his spare time for his family who he loved dearly.
In addition to his wife, Jean, he is survived by his daughter, Tracy Greenwood (John), his grandchildren, Andrea “Ashley” Beasley (David), Cory Greenwood (Rachel), and Nolan Greenwood (Jewel Flanigan), his great grandchildren, Liam Beasley, Wyatt Beasley, Reagan Beasley and Micah Greenwood, his brother, Orvil “Fred” Price, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Ruby, and his brother, William “Botts” Price.
Pallbearers will be John Greenwood, David Beasley, Nolan Greenwood and Cory Greenwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Liam Beasley, Wyatt Beasley, Reagan Beasley and Micah Greenwood.
