Christopher “Chris” Michael Lang, age 55, born August 7, 1970, passed away suddenly on December 18, 2025.
He was an entrepreneur at heart, launching several successful business ventures throughout his career. Outside of his professional life, Chris found joy in the things he loved most: golfing, water and snow skiing, and following sports, especially when it came to his favorite teams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Lightning, which he followed with loyalty, passion, and plenty of strong opinions. He also had a deep appreciation for Broadway and music. A fan of golf history, military history, Pink Floyd and Justin Timberlake, Chris later proudly declared himself a “Swiftie,” a title he wore with pride and much to the amusement of those who knew him best. He developed an admiration for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce not only for their talent, but also for their shared commitment to philanthropy and humanity.
Above all else, Chris’ life was defined by his love and devotion to his family and friends. He shared 25 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Kimberly (Daniels) Lang, a partnership marked by deep love, loyalty, and care. From the moment they met Chris was "always on her six". His greatest joy in life was being Judes Papi. Jude knew that his Papis love for him was bigger than the whole sky. They spent countless hours having fun and making plans to travel the world.
Chris is survived by his wife, Kimberly; his sons, Justin Lawrence and Caleb August (Hannah); his daughter, Stephanie; his brother, Scott (Kristina "Kris"); his sister, Amanda (Tony); his grandson, Jude Ashton; his many nieces and nephews; his sisters-in-law, Casey and Heather; his father, Robert “Bob" (Elizabeth); his bonus daughters, Jessica Anne (Jefferson “Jeff”) and Alexandra Joyce; and his bonus granddaughter, Ila.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Constance “Whitney” Andrews Lang.
As we reflect on Chris’ life, we honor the laughter, love, and joy he brought into the world. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and remembered for the stories, smiles, and warmth he shared so freely. Details regarding Chris’ celebration of life will be shared at a later date.
