Christine, surrounded by her loving family, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Evans, Georgia, at the age of 80. She was born on February 5, 1946, in Buffalo, New York.
Christine earned her associate degree in accounting, laying the foundation for a dedicated and accomplished career in accounts payable. She retired as an Accounts Payable Project Manager. During her tenure, she contributed to major construction projects, including work at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC; and hospital expansions in Charleston, SC and Augusta, GA. Christine was highly respected and admired by her colleagues for her professionalism, dedication, and excellence in her field.
Christine found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved gardening and took great pride in tending to her flowers and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, creating beautiful handmade gifts for her family. She loved playing board and card games, especially rummy. She treasured traveling, with trips to Poland and Turkey among her favorites. Christine had a special love for birds and spent many peaceful hours watching them gather at the feeders in her yard. She also loved dogs and had several throughout her life, but her beloved Mitzi held a particularlly special place in her heart. She often joked that Mitzi was her most well-behaved child.
She shared 61 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Leonard. Christine and Leonard met when they were just 12 and 13 years old, and together they built a life filled with love and deep commitment to one another.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard; her son, Gregory Miazga (Patti); and her daughters, Lynne Miazga and Michelle Kucuk (Mehmet). Her grandchildren; Katie (Sean), Julia, Jason (Gabriel), Sam (Megan), Ella, and Sude were a constant source of pride and joy. She is further survived by her brother, Gerald Reszel (Steve). She looked forward with great joy to the arrival of her first great-grandchild, Emarosa, who is due in June. The family was grateful to gather together to celebrate her recent 80th birthday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sigmund and Helen Reszel; and her brothers, Sigmund Reszel Jr. and Richard Reszel (Florence). Christine will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family who loved her dearly. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
