Mrs. Christine Stamkart Cardenaz, beloved wife of Kim Davison, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at her residence.
Friends are invited to gather at the funeral home for a visitation on Wednesday afternoon, December 4, 2024 from 12:00 until 2:00. Immediately after, the family will process to Westover Memorial Park, with graveside services conducted by Pastor Tony Taylor, Sr. at 2:30.
Christine was born and raised in Munich, Germany and graduated from business school there in 1962. She worked for the Army Air Force Exchange system in Germany and at Fort Eisenhower, retiring as executive secretary to the exchange general manager.
She excelled at two of her hobbies; running and mountain climbing. She started running at the age of 60, and for years, she won 5K and 10K races throughout Georgia. Christine hiked and climbed some of the most famous Alps in the Tyrol area of Austria, including Gratlspitz, Feldalphorn and Schatzberg. In addition, Zuspitze, Alpspitze in Bavaria Germany to name a few.
In addition to her husband, Kim, she is survived by her son Michael Cardenaz (Sharon Taylor, daughter Kyndal Swearingen), her grandchildren, Dalton Cardenaz and Skylar Cardenaz, and her precious fur baby, Rudi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Werner and Anna Stamkart, and her brother, Werner.
Pallbearers will be Mark Johnson, David Swanagin, Connor Poole and Brenner Thompson.
