Chris Wayne Griffin

Mr. Chris Wayne Griffin, age 64, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at a local hospital.

A native of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Mr. Griffin was born the son of Dena Faye Thurmond Griffin and the late L. Wayne Griffin. Mr. Griffin proudly served in the United States Navy and was preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Griffin. He was of the Catholic faith and retired as a Service Manager for Applebee’s Restaurant.

Survivors include his daughters, Samantha Muller and Sydney Griffin. His mother, Mrs. Dena Faye Griffin. His brother, Mr. Derek Griffin and his wife, Maggie. His sister, Ms. Lisa Williams. One grandson, Roran Muller, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Platt’s Funeral Home, 721 Crawford Ave. Augusta, Georgia.
