Charles William Herring, Jr

Chuck Herring Jr., 62, of Harleyville, SC, went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2024, at Hospice Savannah after a courageous battle with cancer.

Chuck was born on November 19, 1961 in Columbus, Georgia to Betty and Charles Herring.

Chuck owned his own concrete company for several years and enjoyed remodeling his home and understood the meaning of hard work. He was always very independent and determined to continue to achieve new things and reach all his goals and ambitions in life.

He is survived by his mother Betty and father Charles Herring; Sisters, Melissa (Mike) Rodman, Teresa (Larry) Roberts; Brother, Dennis (Brandi) Herring; a son, William Tate Herring; a daughter and son-in-law, Ryan and Matthew Davis; 2 grandchildren Sadie and Sailor Davis; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family welcomes visitors for visitation Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 1pm-2pm. Followed by a memorial service held by Floyd Harrison at 2pm at Platt’s Funeral Home. 337 N. Belair Rd. Evans, GA 30809.

Burial to follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with immediate family members only.
