Charles Preston Price

Charles Preston Price, 79, entered into rest on Thursday, April 24, 2025, born March 8, 1946. Loving husband of 52 years to Diane Cato Price. Preston was born in Savannah, Georgia and lived in the Low Country until he moved to Augusta, Georgia. He was employed with McCrory McClellan Green in his twenties, where he was manager of the year for seven years. He opened his own retail businesses for the next twenty-four years. Then he transitioned into developing real estate and building homes. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time with his grand children at their farm in Waynesboro, Georgia. Preston’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Cato Price; his children, Charles Preston Price, Jr. (Keri), Stuart Preston Price (Erin), Whitney Price Hoehn (Hal); six grandchildren, Stuart Preston Price, Jr., William Grey Hoehn, Grace Elizabeth Price, Jackson Edward Boone Hoehn, 
Courtney Brooke DeLoach (Danny), and Taylor Madison Price. Preston was preceded in death by his son Ryan Alexander Price, parents W. D. Price and Nellie Jackson Price, and five siblings. The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, at Platt’s Funeral Home on North Belair Road. Funeral services will begin at Noon and burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
