Charles N. Tate

Evans, GA - Charles N. Tate, 81, husband of 65 years to Nancy R. Tate, entered into rest on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. with Pastor Randy Byrd officiating.

Mr. Tate retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 23 years of service and was a Vietnam War veteran.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his children; Charles N. “Buddy” Tate, Jr. (Kim) of Jesup, GA, Pam Teston (Wade) of Martinez, GA, Carl Tate (Julie) of Jasper, AL, brother; Chip Dobson (Pie) of Mobile, AL, sister; Eileen Gibson (Charles) of Mobile, AL, six grandchildren; Kendra Tate, Isabella Tate, Rachel Teston Blackman (Neil), Wesley Teston, Erin Teston Hewett (Matthew), Riley Teston (Morgan), 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
