Charles F. Olmstead Jr.

MSgt Charles F. Olmstead Jr., (USMC Ret), entered into rest on Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Marvin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elizabeth Ackerman officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Olmstead proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years, before retiring as a Master Sergeant. After retirement, he began a second career with the US Postal Service for 21 years. He was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church. He was lovingly devoted to his family and loved spending time with them making wonderful memories. He’ll be remembered as a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, his children, Kathy L. Seymour (Sam), Kevin C. Olmstead (Tracie) and Kerry S. Olmstead (Jennifer), his 7 grandchildren, Jenny, Matthew, Tricia, Charlie, Darcy, Ethan, and Katie, and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Wendaline Fournier from Hartford, Vermont. His parents, Charles and Harriette, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, October 20, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
