Charles Edward Mcghee

September 15, 1946 — January 23, 2022

Charles (Chuck) McGhee was called home on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the age of 80 surrounded by his family. The world has lost a wonderful Grandfather, Father, Brother, and Leader.
Chuck was born in Bauxite, Arkansas on March 7, 1941 to parents Carrol Henry McGhee and Lois McGhee nee Moody. Chuck had a successful military career where he served as an Aviation Electronics Technician in the Navy. He retired as a Command Master Chief, Naval Air Station, Bermuda, BWI. Along the way he had two children and married his loving wife Ann, with whom he gained three additional sons.
A man of many hobbies, Chuck loved to boat and fish with his sons and grandchildren. He also loved to garden and had a knack for making things grow. He enjoyed watching the Florida State Seminoles play football and western movies. He was well travelled and accomplished but his biggest accomplishment was his family.
Chuck is preceded in death by his wife Ann McGhee, daughter Elizabeth O’Keefe, and son Louie Faircloth. He is survived by his sister Carolyn Louise Minor and his sons Mark McGhee (wife Debbie, children Ben and Josh), Anthony Faircloth (wife Nicci, children Ashley [great granddaughter Presley], Nicholas, Gabriella, Savannah, Hannah, Jesse), Kim Faircloth (wife Kim, children Matthew and Megan). All held him in the highest regard and loved him dearly. Our Papa was one of a kind and will truly be missed.
