Cecil "Hank" H. Williams, Jr., 71, entered into rest at his home in Evans, Georgia on October 7, 2026.

Born to the late Cecil Williams, Sr. and Gwen (Gant) Williams on May 20, 1955 in Pahokee, Florida. Hank did some college at Florida Technical University, now known as University of Central Florida, for engineering.

Hank used his skill set to become a Shift Manager at Plant Vogtle where he dedicated over 40 years.

A lifelong explorer with an insatiable curiosity, Hank approached the world as an endless library waiting to be discovered. Whether losing themselves in the pages of a great book, watching the wake of an ocean liner from the deck of a cruise ship, or venturing across continents, they carried a deep reverence for the beauty of our planet. From the dramatic fiords of New Zealand to the sun-drenched, ancient sands of Egypt, Hank gathered stories, embraced new cultures, and reminded all of us to keep looking beyond our own horizons. Yet their wanderlust didn’t stop at the edges of the map; on clear nights, they could invariably be found looking upward, captivated by space exploration and tracing the constellations. Hank lived with wonder, traveled with purpose, and now journeys among the stars they so dearly loved.

Along with his parents, Hank is preceded in death by his baby sister Lori Williams Turner (Chuck).

Hank leaves behind his beloved wife, Robyn (Sharpe) Williams; children, Tyler Williams (Leiah), Lauren Williams, Guinevere Duff (Marty), Mitchell Williams, and Dylan Williams; grandchildren, Oliver and Rowan Williams; sisters, and Gail Lewis (Steve) and Lisa Bell (Jack).

A memorial service for Hank will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:30am at Platt's Funeral Home, 337 N. Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until service time and a reception will follow the service.
