Brenda O'Bannon

Brenda O’Bannon, 72, of Grovetown, GA, peacefully passed away on September 24th surrounded by loved ones.

Brenda was born on March 8th, 1950, to Robert and Elsie Wright in Newark, NJ. After graduating from East Orange High School in 1968, she pursued a degree in elementary education from Newark State College.

Following college graduation, Brenda started what would become a 35-year career as a teacher. She was passionate about teaching and loved what she did for a living.

In 1968, Brenda met Anthony O’Bannon. Brenda and Anthony went on to have two children, Anthony, and Melanie.

Brenda retired in 2009. While retired, she had time to travel and spend time with her grandchildren.

Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Elsie, and her brother Michael. She is survived by her husband, Anthony; her sisters, Lois, Debra, and Karen; her children, Anthony, and Melanie; and her three grandchildren, Tristan, Shelby, and Skylar. The family will receive friends at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Road Chapel on October 8th from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
