Bobby Garnett

Mr. Bobby Garnett, age 80, of Grovetown, Georgia died Saturday, August 15, 2026 at a local hospital.

A native of Appling, Georgia, Mr. Garnett was born on Christmas Day, 1945 the son of the late Mable Smalley Garnett and Mack Garnett, Sr. Mr. Garnett was a member of the Lampkin Grove Baptist Church of Appling and was a truck driver for 38 years with Pratt Dudley. Mr. Garnett was a huge fan of drag racing, the Laker’s Basketball & the Chicago Bull’s Basketball teams. He was married on December 21, 1976 to Eunice Garnett who survives. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two sisters, Daisy McDonald and Ola Garnett and by two brothers, Jimmy Garnett and Mack Garnett, Jr.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Mrs. Eunice Garnett. Two daughters, Tara Garnett and Helena Garnett. Three sisters, Anna Garnett, Beatrice Celestine, and Maxine Tutt. Two brothers, Hercules Garnett and Terry Garnett. Two aunts, Mrs. Ludell Garnett and Mary Smalley. One grandson, Quantez Garnett and Mr. Garnett’s beloved dog, Maxx.

Memorial services honoring the life of Mr. Garnett will be conducted on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11 am from the Belair Chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky G. Dent officiating.

There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
