Betty Scruggs Jordan Kobes

North Augusta, SC- Mrs. Betty Scruggs Jordan Kobes age 77, wife of Roger D. Kobes entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 24, 2009 after a courageous 3 year battle with lung cancer.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday , May 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with Pastor John Meyer and Music Director Joshua Edwards officiating. Interment to follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Jordan Richardson, and Linda Jordan Fernandez. One granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Richardson, a great granddaughter, Isabella Jordan Richardson, beloved nieces and nephews. Three step children, Jerry, Jill, and Bob Kobes. Betty was predeceased by her parents, Malcomb and Mamie Scruggs of Woodruff,SC, three brothers, Richard, Keith and Cecil Scruggs, and her infant son, Michael A Jordan.

Betty was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Belvedere First Baptist Church in N. Augusta. She also was passed worthy matron with the Alias Warren of the Eastern Star.

The family will receive friends at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
