Betty Jean Williams Newman

Betty Jean Williams Newman, 86, beloved wife of 70 years Joseph R. Newman, Sr., entered into rest on November 9, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Platt's Crawford Avenue Chapel.  Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Mrs. Newman will be remembered for her generosity and always thinking of others first and as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Newman is survived by her husband, Joseph R. Newman, Sr.; her children, Linda Clark (Bruce), Teresa Johnson (Stanley),Valerie Hoffman (Ronald), Robbie Newman (Karen), Mario Newman (Tammy), Paul Newman, and Shawn Bibbins (Wayne; and by her many grand and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Newman, Mario Newman, Paul Newman, Joey Newman, Blake Bibbins and Ryan Hoffman.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening, November 13, 2022 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM.
