Betty Ann Collier, affectionately known as Ann, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on August 2, 1946, in Aiken, South Carolina, Ann was a remarkable individual whose legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched.
Ann retired from her distinguished career as the Chief of Quality Management at Eisenhower Medical Center, where she exemplified dedication and professionalism. She was not only hard-working and career-driven but was also known for her caring nature and exceptional listening skills, which made her a trusted confidante among friends and family. Her commitment to excellence extended beyond her professional life; she was a proud member of the American Medical Association and held the privilege of being an honorary member of the Army Medical Corps.
Family was of utmost importance to Ann, and she cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren, who found comfort in confiding in her. She took immense joy in nurturing these relationships, and her grandchildren - Nicole and Chase Manley, James "Jake" Collier, Jessica Collier, and Zack Collier - and great-granddaughter Emma Manley will forever treasure the fond memories of their time spent with her.
Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kawanis Collier, and her daughter, Kim Collier-Sims. She also mourned the loss of her parents, James Freeman and Betty Freeman, as well as her sister, Linda Woods, and brother, Buck Rodgers. These family ties were foundational to her character and the person she became.
In addition to her career and family life, Ann had a passion for collecting coins, which reflected her interest in history and the stories behind each piece. Her vibrant personality and zest for life created a welcoming atmosphere wherever she went, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Ann is survived by her son, Jimmy Collier, and daughter-in-law, Gina Collier, who continue to carry her spirit forward. Though she will no longer be physically present, her influence and love will resonate in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Ann's life was a testament to compassion, strength, and unwavering commitment, leaving a mark that will be cherished for generations to come.
