Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. “Bobby” Thomas, daughter, Joann Brown, brother Eugene Scott and sisters, Thelma and Annabell.

She is survived by her sons, Walter Brown, Jr. of Augusta, Lewis Beard of Grovetown and Marcus Thomas of Atlanta, daughters, Henrietta Brown and Glyndis Beard, both of Grovetown, brothers, Jimmy Scott (Bobbie) and Eddie Scott and sisters, Sarah, Louise, Fannie, Betty and Emma, 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
