Evans, GA --- Mrs. Berlyn Pardue, 88, entered into rest on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Westwood Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be held, at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2009, in Platt’s Belair Road Chapel, with the Reverend Bill Davis officiating. Interment will be private, at Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Pardue was one, of the last Spanish American War widows. She was a member of the Baptist Faith and attended the First Baptist Church, of Erwin, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Brady Pardue, a veteran of the Spanish American War, two sons, Erwin Pardue and James Pardue, parents, John and Flossie Phillips Shell, one brother, Luther and three sisters, Nell, Grace and Marie.
Survivors include; two sons, Robert Pardue and wife, Linda, of Johnson City, TN, Chuck R. Pardue and wife, Irina, of Blythe,GA, one daughter, Mary Elaine Pardue, of Morristown, TN, five grandchildren, Linda Davilla, Robbie Pardue, Brian Pardue, John Brady Pardue, Stephen Richard Pardue, and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 26, 2009, from 2:00 pm, until the time of service at Platt’s Belair Road.
