Bennie Lewis Bargeron

Bennie “Ben” Bargeron of Evans passed away on July 30, 2026, in Evans.

Ben was born in Augusta, Georgia, on July 24, 1939, to Arthur and Mary Bargeron. He was married to the love of his life, Janice Moody Bargeron. Ben was a self-employed brick mason for many years and was well known for his involvement in dirt track racing.

Ben was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice Moody Bargeron; his son, Bennie Lewis Bargeron Jr.; his parents, Arthur and Mary Bargeron; and his sister, Alma Braswell.

He is survived by his daughters, Alisa Henson and Angel (Wendell) McCumbers; his brother, Eddie (Martha) Bargeron; his five grandchildren, Shaun Snellings (Jaice), Sheena (Kelly) Martin, Geoffrey Gimenez, Hannah McCumbers, and Tyler McCumbers; and his two great-grandchildren, Chase Snellings and Gunner Martin.

Pallbearers: Brad Bennefield, Brandon Bargeron, Mike Carver, Kenneth Carver, Kelly Martin, Bennie Herron.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Epilepsy Foundation

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, at Bellevue Cemetery, with Pastor Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating.
