Benjamin Franklin Parkman, Iii

AUGUSTA – Mr. Benjamin Franklin “Bubber” Parkman, 73, beloved husband of 52 years of Sandra Mallard Parkman, entered into rest on Sunday, October 14, 2012 in Columbia, South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the First Advent Christian Church, 1263 Marks Church Road, with Pastor Paul Widener officiating.

Mr. Parkman was a United States Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by his mother, Gladys Parkman, his three daughters, Julie P. Spires (Jonny), Amanda H. Flake, and Jana Causey (Michael), a sister, Johanna James, a brother Richard E. Parkman, as well as six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin F. Parkman, Jr and a brother, Melvin Parkman.

The family will receive friends at the First Advent Christian Church from 1:00 PM until service time.
