Mr. Benito Gapuz Basa Sr., beloved husband of Fe Sambaan-Basa for more than 25 years went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 27, 2023.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at New Hope Worship Center with the Rev. Reagan Sommers officiating. Burial will be at a later date in New Jersey.
Mr. Basa was a member of New Hope Worship Center since 2007, where he was active member of the hospitality team. He served as a greeter, with his friendly face being the first to welcome new visitors and members alike. His kindness extended to other activities as well. He volunteered for The Bridge Ministry of the CSRA and helped to provide meals and basic necessities to the poor and homeless in our area. He was also a devoted family man and a loving husband and father, and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Fe, he is survived by his children, Benito M. Basa Jr (Marilou), Elya Basa M. Paras (Petmark), Jonathan M. Basa (Norelynne), Johanna M. Basa Wroblewski (Paul) and Lemuel M. Basa (Gloria), his step children, Irene Villaroya, Cherry Mae Cardinez and Mary Ann Ortiz, his grandchildren, Andrey Bacal, Alina Fe Kilpatrick (Andrew), Naomi Jane Lanuza Basa, Rica Jianne Eden B. Saez, Alyssa Jennelle Basa, Klyanne Mae Basa Paras, Kirstine Kelly Basa Paras, Kaia Lezel Torres, Nathan Christian Basa, Kervin Mark Paras, Nicholas Paulo Michael Wroblewski, Breman Lloyd Basa, Benny Louie Basa, Daniel Ortiz, David Ortiz, Isabella Villaroya, Lily Villaroya, Isaac Villaroya and Luke Villaroya. He is also survived by great grandchildren, Vincent Antonio Federico – Torres, Vivian Rae Salazar and Shanley Ava Salazar.
