Barbara Joyce Cox

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Barbara Joyce Cox, 73, beloved wife of 56 years to William E. Cox entered into rest on Sunday January 11, 2009 at Doctor’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Marion Jay officiating. Interment to follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Cox was a native of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee but resided in Augusta for the past 41 years. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband Mrs. Cox is survived by her three sons, Bryan Cox of Houston, Texas, Dale Cox of Grovetown, and William Cox of Martinez, her daughter, Meredith Kendall of Evans, her brother, Don Baker, her sister, Daisy Mulkey of Soddy-Daisy, TN, and her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening January 13, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel.
