Anthony Marc Buchanan

Mr. Anthony Marc Buchanan, 45, entered into rest on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Anthony was born in Utica, New York on September 1, 1978, to Anthony Buchanan and Mary Maddox Buchanan. He spent his childhood in Utica, where his family attended Peter Spencer UAME Church. He was led to Christ under the tutelage of the Rev. George Clark. In his teenage years, his family relocated to the Augusta, Georgia area. In 1997, he graduated from Evans High School.

After high school, his career path took him to Barber School, where he excelled. He opened his own business called C&A Barber Shop, and he was owner and operator for over 16 years.

He is survived by a loving family, including his beloved daughter, Jennifer Buchanan, his parents, Anthony “Buck” and Mary Buchanan, his siblings, James Jordan Jr., Felicia Jordan, Christopher Jordan and his twin sister, Andrea Buchanan Bennett, his brother -in- law, Tyrone Bennett, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Ethan Rodriguez.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 19, 2024 in the chapel of Platts Funeral Home 337 North Belair Road, Evans, Georgia with the Rev. George Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 11:00 AM until service time. Burial will be private at a later date.
