Miss Alaina Grace Key entered into Heaven on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Wellstar MCG.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in the Belair Road Chapel of Platts Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Lairsey officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

In honor of Alaina’s bright life, please feel free to wear cheerful colors.

Alaina’s contagious smile and bright beautiful eyes captivated the hearts of everyone around her. The only thing that outweighed her beauty was her warrior spirit and how hard she fought her battle.

We cannot express enough appreciation for the doctors and nurses at CHOG 5CMC and the chemo clinic.

Alaina was a much-loved child who leaves behind a large family and extended family. She’s survived by her parents, Gennie Key and Tyree Powell and her foster parents, Keith and Tiana Evangelista, her grandparents, Kathleen Boatwright and Brian Key, Ali Santiago, Sandie Lynce and Rose Marie Evangelista, and Manuel Evangelista, as well as a sister, Madison Black and her foster siblings, Kayla, Skyla, Ethan, Elijah, Ella, Tron, Summer, Ziyerr and Robbie. She’s also survived by her aunts, Kensley Key and Isabella Key, and her uncle, Brian Key, Jr.
