Violeta Novilla Johnson

Mrs. Violeta Novilla Johnson, 81, beloved wife of 55 years of Aubrey Thomas Johnson, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Gary McWhorter officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Martinez United Methodist Church and a Red Cross volunteer. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by a son; Benjamin “Ben” Johnson, a daughter; Violet Macky (Gary), her grandson; Jared Macky (Alisha), two great grandchildren; Layla and Madelyn Macky, and her sisters; Minerva Ballad and Filipina Zaño. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnolfo and Maria Novilla.

Pallbearers will be Terry Macky, Robert Harmon, Raymond Gurley, John Allen Beckman, Marty Quesada, Harvey Kirkland and Francis Ballad.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, July 23, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
