Vicki B. Evans

Augusta, GA – Vicki B. Evans, 65, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Doctor’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Rev. John Kenney, Rev. Forrest Page, and Rev. Dr. Andrew Menger officiating. A private burial will take place at Westside Cemetery in Statesboro, GA at a later date.

Vicki was born in Statesboro, GA in 1947. She graduated from Statesboro High School in 1965 and Brewton-Parker College in 1967. Vicki worked for Stephen H. Hagler Law Firm until her retirement. After retiring, Vicki stayed dedicated to her career and continued to serve clients. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls, former president of the Westside High School Booster Club, and team mom for many years in the Augusta area. Vicki was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta, where she taught Sunday school in the Children’s Department. She also attended The Quest Church and assisted in Quest Express Children’s ministry. Vicki enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her sons and daughters-in-law very much. Her grandchildren were her life and she was proud of each of them.

Survivors include her sons; Bryan B. Evans and wife Christy W. of Grovetown, GA, Bo Evans and wife Beth L. of Charleston, SC, Jess L. Evans and wife Cynthia L. of Grovetown, GA, God-son; P.J. Lee and wife Collins of Martinez, GA, two sisters; Tessie Bryan Atkins and husband Tony of Harlem, GA, George Ann “Georgia” Bryan of Augusta, GA, five grandchildren; Brooke Evans, Hanna Evans, Emily Evans, Gianna Evans, and Jackson Evans. Vicki was preceded in death by parents, the late George Bowman Bryan, the late Eleanor Bryan, and the late Robert L. Kane.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
