Tonya Black Nettles

Martinez, GA – Mrs. Tonya Black Nettles, 74, beloved wife of the late William T. Nettles, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the First Assembly of God with the Rev. Baxter Stanley officiating. The family will receive guests in the Sanctuary prior to the service from 11:00 to 11:45.
She is survived by her children; Mark Nettles (Susan) and Michelle Nettles, her grandchildren; Christopher, Brittany and Ashley Nettles and Megan Burdeshaw (Maddox), her great grandchildren; Kaylie Nettles, Charlie Moon, Luke Nettles and Kendall Nettles, as well as her brothers; Jim Black (Beth), Billy Black (Brenda) and Willard Black (Debra) and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, William “Bill”, she was preceded in death by her parents; Wyman “Bo” and Clara Gay Black, and sister; Melba Page, and brothers; Lindsey and Robert “Bubba” Black.
Tonya was an amazing woman with a kind heart that loved her family. She was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church. She retired from the Social Security Administration after 30 years of service. Tonya was a wonderful Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Mother, Grandmother and Friend. Her family was most important to her, especially her grandchildren. In her free time, Tonya liked to bowl, play bingo, spend time with family & friends and she loved to travel.
