Tommie Robbins Newman

Mrs. Tommie Robbins Newman, 91, beloved wife of the late Homer C. Newman, entered into rest on December 4, 2023.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with Pastor Lee NeSmith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the chapel.

Mrs. Newman will be remembered as a loving mother and Mema to her grandchildren. She was also known as the “Book of Knowledge” and “Walking Phonebook” and could recall a phone number or address from many years ago.

Mrs. Newman is survived by her children, Terrie Stroup (Randy), Joanie Borseth (Raymond) and David Newman; her 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Carolyn Cliett of Columbia, SC and Stanley Scritchfield (Debbie) and bonus daughter, Kate Newman Whitaker. She also leaves behind her beloved Shih Tzu, Gracie

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by her parents, Stan W. and Monteen Ott Scritchfield; and her children, Randy, Debbie and Jennie.
