Timothy Donald Steflik, 35, of Augusta, Georgia was reunited with his father and our Lord on October 23, 2021 surrounded by his family.
He was born to Debra and the late Dave Steflik on June 2, 1986, though there has always been some debate as to whether Timmy was truly birthed- or possibly- hatched. Tim played collegiate baseball, graduated from Shawnee State, and subsequently spent years overseas serving in the Peace Corps. While overseas in the Peace Corps, he excelled in providing practical skills training to orphans, providing these individuals with skills such as barber training and self-sustaining gardening, to support themselves. One of many examples of this service was training and licensing 14 students as barbers, many with little or no formal education. His thoughtfulness and persistence ensured these young adults could support themselves and become productive members of their community. Tim enjoyed life, an outgoing, charismatic individual who never knew a stranger. He was an avid traveler, though always made it a priority to be home during the holidays to uphold traditions with immediate family. Family was very important to Tim. He was loved by his nephews and adored by his newborn niece.
In addition to his mother, he is survived four siblings, Dr. David Steflik (Dr. Heidi Steflik), Christy Jackson (Tray Jackson), Allison Craven (Bert), and Michael Steflik; nephews and niece, Gage Jackson, Wyatt Craven, Garrett Craven, and Ellie Craven; aunts and uncles, Lori Stickane, Donna and Norm Powers, and Joe and Terri Steflik; and last but certainly not least- his faithful canine companion, Chip.
