Timothy Michael Newsome, Ii

Timothy Michael Newsome, II, beloved dad, son, brother, and friend passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at University Hospital. Timmy was born in Augusta, Georgia on March 12, 1976. He attended Evans High School and had a passion for carpentry and woodworking and was the owner of Newsome Woodworks. He loved to design and create intricate wooden masterpieces from staircases to cutting boards. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan as well as a Golden Tee champion. He loved cooking for his friends & family.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Timothy Michael Newsome; grandma, Noreen Newsome; granddad, Gene Newsome; and his Paw, Gene Woods.

He is survived by his daughter, Tia Marie Newsome; his mother, Teresa Woods Stonehill (Stan); his brothers, Travis Newsome (Diane), Michael Newsome, Sean Stonehill (Wendi), and Brian Stonehill; his sisters Tara Newsome Hobbs (Allen) and Allison Stonehill Ferron (Randy); his grandmother, Joyce Woods; his Aunt, Linda Woods Fowler; and his girlfriend, Mychelle Gambrell Kitchens; as well as many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends that are family.

Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 North Belair Rd, Evans, GA 30809.
Funeral services will be held directly following the visitation at 3:00PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 North Belair Rd, Evans, GA 30809. The service will be officiated by Rev. Joe Woods, Timmy’s uncle.
