Thad Gray

AUGUSTA—Mr. Thad Gray,52 , of Cobbham Rd., Appling, beloved husband of 30 years to Mrs. Terry Bossen Gray, entered into rest on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Doctor’s Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Platt’s Belair Rd. Chapel with Rev. Andy Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.

A native of Augusta, GA. Mr. Gray was the Owner and President of Martinez Realty Co. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Appraising, with a minor degree in Chemistry. Mr. Gray was a Certified Residential Appraiser and a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Georgia, South Carolina and Mississippi since September 1977. He was a member the Merchants Association of Columbia County, Augusta Board of Realtors, Columbia County Tax Assessor and Board of Equalization, the Martinez Toastmasters and the Martinez and Evans Jaycee’s.

Additional survivors include his son, Jacob T. Gray of Appling, GA. Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Martha Ramsey Gray.

Active pallbearers will be Barney Boatwright, Stephen Thompson, Mike Johnson, Tommy Callihan, Roger Gray, David Crouch and Larry Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be the Columbia County Merchants Association and are asked to assemble by 1:30 PM at the Funeral Home.
