Susan Dedrickson

Evans, GA - Susan Dedrickson, 58, devoted and beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister passed Saturday, June 13, 2015 at her home on the lake surrounded by family.

Susan was born April 23, 1957, in Sioux Falls, SD to Richard and Sandy Sarver.
In 1979, Susan graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in nursing. She obtained her Masters in Nursing in 1992, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and then again in 1997, she graduated as a Nurse Anesthetist.
Susan worked as a nurse anesthetist at MCG in Augusta, GA, at Warner Robins hospital, and at Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia, GA. She served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy and was activated in 2003 during Operation Desert Storm. Susan loved the lake, wine, drinking wine, looking at wine, picking out wine for her wine cellar, and wineries. Her family was the highlight of her life and sometimes she shared her wine with them. Family trips to Charleston, Alaska, snorkeling in Florida and camping trips to Gatlinburg are some of our best memories.

Susan is survived by her husband, Charles Russell Dedrickson II, her three children, “Tray” Charles Russell Dedrickson III, Heather Dedrickson and Ricky Dedrickson; mother, Sandy Sarver; two sisters and two brothers; and so many friends.

A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 10:30-11:30am at Platt’s Funeral Home in Evans, GA.
