Russell Powell

Grovetown – Mr. Russell George Powell, 74, beloved husband of Carol Powell, entered into rest on Monday, September 26, 2016.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating.

Mr. Powell was an Iowa native. He worked at John Deere Waterloo Tractorworks in Iowa, retiring in 1993 after 31 years. He was a member of Wesley UMC.

In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by his son; Lynn Russell Powell, his daughter; Christine K. Jex, his brothers; Harold Powell and Darrell Powell, his sister; Mary Wildeboer, as well as four granddaughters and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
