Roland Thomas Mitchell

Roland Thomas Mitchell, 74, beloved husband of Ruby Savage Mitchell, entered into rest on November 6, 2021.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Baltimore, MD to the late John Ray Mitchell and Ruby Alice Allen Mitchell. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and went on to work as a police officer until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Mitchell is survived by his children, Neil Mitchell (Nina), Brandon Mitchell (Sara) and Tammy Madigan (Bill); his grandchildren, River Mitchell, Austin Madigan, Dakota Madigan, Zackary Mitchell, Gwenella Mitchell and Augustus Mitchell; his brother, Billy Joe Mitchell (Charlotte); and his sisters, Nell Irwin (John), Joyce Murray (Tom), Charmie Martin (George) and Mamie Horney.
